How long does Grow Smarter take?
It is a six-week course, but you can complete it over up to 3 months at your own pace if your time is limited.
When can I start?
Short courses, including Grow Smarter, can be started anytime. The National Diploma has a fixed intake: the next one is in February 2027.
Do I need a farming qualification to start?
No. Grow Smarter needs no previous farming qualification. It is a good first step before the National Diploma.
Is the National Diploma accredited?
Yes. HortiSoil is an AgriSETA-accredited training provider (AGRI/c prov/0823/17). The National Diploma in Plant Production is NQF Level 5, SAQA ID 49010.
How much does it cost?
Grow Smarter costs R1,950 for the full course. The National Diploma is R39,500 per year.
